King Signs Off On New Traffic Law, Drunk Driving $1,000 Fine

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Saw the Snookyville BIB yesterday stopping every white person in the usual locations. They walked halfway out into the street to look at me and see if I had my tax sticker. I leave all the past stickers and green safety check stickers on the windshield so they really have to look to see the current one(s). Useless sack of Sh*t. Get off their butts and use the cop bikes to actually patrol and stop some of the mayhem on the roads. I blame all the road deaths on them and their boss.

Sure, and they make them easy to spot by branding them as either 'Lexus' or 'Range Rover'.

Now that I've written that I guess you meant buses similar to Oz. Yes, there's at least one that's used around PP.

And they have a booze cruise on a Tuk-Tuk called "Tipsy Tuk Tuks." It even has a drunk driver blindfolded as the icon, LoL.

Once you've read the dictionary, every other book is just a remix.

We're a bit behind the times here. I heard there is a breathalyzer in the KOW which operates in PP from time to time, mostly just before public holidays. Whether it even works is beside the point.( Works as cash machine to supplement police income.)

Next thing you know there'll be speed traps and "radars" - which will also work on the principal of pay up and f'k off.

Just take a tuktuk. (Or a Lexus) :)
