Kind foreigner left $100 for the person who crashed him

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Quand j'ai pensé à cette barang, deux mots me viennent à l'esprit: sympathique et stupide.

Seriously, I can see a new sport developing in Phnom Penh: get drunk, ram Barang, take pay-out.
Compensating people for being dangerous idiots seems like a dick move for sure.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

Smart move, his photo isn't all over Facebook and the Khmer press this morning surrounded by gawking bar girls and Gavinmac isn't busy looking up his Florida rap sheet.

Phnom Penh should have more kind expats like him.

If you know a lot, know enough to make them respect you, if you are stupid, be stupid enough so they can pity you.

Cambodia should have more kind people that beat people to death to save the rest of us from drunken drivers.

All these fucking kids driving senselessly specifically in the area that this happened, daily. Acting cool with their Scoopy sitting 3 people on one bike trying to impress the prostitute on the bike behind them. Just off them all.

Not as long as they breed like rabbits. A friend of mine lost a relative yesterday; he hit a stationary car at full speed, drunk, without a helmet. His wife-to-be is on the way to Bangkok. But for the family it's like, you know, just bad luck.

I was thinking the exact same thing. Giving $100 to a drunk driver, now that is what I call retarded.
