Knife Attack on Fish Sellers in Svay Rieng

Cambodia News (Svay Rieng): The criminal police of Svay Rieng police station arrested two men for attacking a couple with knives on April 26, 2021, at 04:45 am, in Tatrach village, Romeas Hek district, Svay Rieng.

The suspects were identified as Khem Sin, 27 years old, and Sor Sereyvutha, 27 years old; both tested positive for drugs. The suspects got into an argument with the victim, a 25-year-old man, San Vanna, while he was selling fish with his wife; then they attacked the man with long knives, causing a serious headwound.

The victim is getting treatment at the provincial hospital. The suspects were detained at the police station for case preparation.

Is it really a wise move to hand the weapons back to the probably-still-drugged-up perpetrators just for a photo-shoot?
