Kep - accusations of graft ?
Not sure what this really means. Always a challenge to decode allegations of corruption.
Wonder if she is having problems because she has not been facilitating big business interests on Koh Tonsay ? The longer it remains unspoiled the better IMO. It seems an obvious target for a big development project.
... The Anti-Corruption Unit (ACU) is investigating allegations of corruption in the office of Kep deputy provincial governor Prum Chamroeun involving land deals and siphoning off money from tourism operations.
She has been accused of selling a plot of land reserved for a provincial park to her sister, taking a cut from tourist boat revenues and blocking property developments on Rabbit Island...

Maybe having to do with chopping down all those mangroves? For the wildlife, that's more devastating than any development project on Rabbit Island.

there are already more than enough bungalows there on the one side facing the mainland, no idea they other side

When I was swimming in Myanmar's Bengali gulf beaches in the 90s, being the only one in the sea with almost no one in sight gave me some irrational (or not?) shark encounter fear...phuketrichard wrote:compare that to this shot a few days ago on Nebule beach in southern Myanmar

i went skinny dipping ( never done that in Thailand) on the above beach and sorta felt the same way, as if , is this ok for swimming?
