Thieves break into a villa in New World Borey and take $ 42,000 in a safe

Cambodia News, Kandal: Takhmao City Police reported a case of burglary, which was reported on 21/07/2020 at 00:06 at the house No. 111, Street 1A, New World Borey 2, Group 41, Prek Samrong 3 Village, Sangkat Takhmao, Takhmao City, Kandal Province.

The victim, Ang Dy, female, 31 years old, money changer, resides in the village. The suspect or suspects remain unidentified.
Losses include:
1- 2 TVs (42 inch LED)
2- 1 safe with $ 42,000 in it.
3- 2 lap top computers.
4- 1 platinum necklace weighing 5 g.
5- 2 rhinoceros (?) necklaces.
6- Some documents.

On July 20, 2020, at 10:00 AM, the victim and family locked the front and back of the house and left the house unattended while they went away. On the night of 21/07/2020, the family returned home just after midnight, but when they unlocked the front door, they found the furniture in the house was scattered and the TV and the safe were gone. The victims looked all over the house and made a list of missing items and called the police.
The Takhmao City Police Inspector ordered the Takhmao forces to go to inspect the crime scene in search for clues left by suspects, and to take a statement from the victims, in accordance with the procedure.

Please note that: The victim's house is a hybrid villa, size 4.1 x 12 meters, 2 floors.The upper floor has 2 rooms, the lower floor has a bathroom at the back of the house, 5 meters of land, 2 meters high fence outside. The fence at the north side of the house at the back is adjacent to about 10 hectares of open field and forest land, easy for the suspects to enter without being seen from outside.
In the Borey, there are proper security guards, but they patrol only in front of the house, not behind the house. There are no security cameras around the victim's house.
