Cambodia News (Kandal): On May 3, 2020, at 2:30 pm, a 21-year-old man, Run Dara, was arrested for attacking his parents and his neighbor in Brolay village, Kandal Steung district, Kandal. The victims who were injured in the attack were identified as Sim Chenda, a 51-year-old woman( the suspect's mother), Brok Saren, a 52-year-old man( the suspect's father), and Kim Vanney, a 60-year-old woman (the neighbor).

Before the incident, the suspect made his bicycle fell down in front of his house, but when his mother asked him about that, then suddenly, he became violent and smashed a brick on his mother's head, causing her to get injured. After that, she ran away to the neighbor's house to hide from her son. Then the suspect smashed the brick on his father's head and rampaged around smashing up the house. After that, he took an ax and went to attack his neighbor.

The police went to the scene to arrest the suspect and sent him to the police station to follow the legal action. The three injured people were sent to the hospital with severe injuries, but they are expected to recover. The police confiscated an ax and a brick from the crime scene. There was also some damage caused at the house. The motive for the attack remains unexplained.
