Kampot Military Officer Burns Down Resort

Kampot, Cambodia News: A military officer, Ang Phally, is reported to have burned down his residence, which was a resort named "Teuk Chros Pramboun Chan" and exploded a few gunshots. Police reported that all this occurred after many months of constant arguing between the officer and his wife, Hean Konthey.

On December 05, at 08:30 pm, when Ang Phally was very drunk, he fired his gun a few times in the air, and spread gasoline everywhere before burning down the resort belonging to him and his wife, in Anglong Kmeng Leng village, Teukchou district, Kampot. The fire destroyed eight rooms, a villa, a meeting hall, a kitchen, 25 cottages, and other equipment. After burning the place down, the arsonist fled the scene.

After the incident, the military officer's wife filed a complaint with the Kampot Royal Gendarmerie.
