Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. Italian Expat MASSI TROTANO Injured after Ducati Smash into a Tuk Tuk

Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Kandal, Cambodian News: On September 02 at 11:20 am, a 45-year-old Italian expat, MASSI TROTANO, was injured after driving his motorbike into a tuk-tuk in Kean Svay district, Kandal.

Before the incident, an Italian man was driving his Ducati motorbike at high speed from Koh Thom district to Phnom Penh, when he smashed into the tuk-tuk, which was driven by a 27-year-old, Meas Veasna. There were three people injured as a result of the accident: the Italian man has a serious injury to his left arm, the tuk-tuk driver was injured on his back and leg, and a monk, who was a passenger in the tuk-tuk, was also slightly injured.

The police went to the scene and contacted the ambulance to take the victims to the hospital. The damaged vehicles were taken to keep at the police station while they resolve who was responsible for the accident and questions of compensation for the victims.

Arguing at the scene, arguing at the scene with the police supervising, then arguing the toss in the police station.

Whilst i have always loved sports bikes, sadly, this country is not the place to be succumbed by the adrenaline rush a twist of the throttle brings.
