That Malaysia Airlines flight seems to be cancelled, reinstated, cancelled, reinstated on at least a daily basis

Yes, but on the other side, I guess worldwide there are millions of foreigners trapped in hundreds of countries.cptrelentless wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 2:20 pmThere's still a fair number of Chinese construction workers trapped here.

Seriously. You don't have to provide flights, just book them and get paid. ...Damn it. I should be busy setting up an airline website and getting rich.
Do you think the parents of baby boomers whined so much when the boomers started changing society? And yet the whiney ones like to call young people "snowflakes." Hmm...

Apparently the draft on the Emergency Bill leaked :

Increase in abuses of human rights incoming according to Human's Right Watch.
Turning away from trades with the EU in favor of china coupled with such a bill doesn't look good.

Yeah well, take anything Human Rights Watch says about HE with a big granular grain of Kampot salt.
They don't get on.
HE memorably once called the Nobel Prize nominated head of HRW Asia "a sub-human dog who just wants to have sex with animals"
I don't necessarily agree, but he certainly has a good turn of phrase at times.

I'd do it... but, I'm not a thieving cunt. Jesus H. fuckin' Christ!!! I HATE fuckin' airlines, airports and everything to do with fuckin' air travel. They should be all be: blinded with red-hot pokers, stretched on the rack for a week, 'drawn and quartered', their heads put on pikes and their bodies buried in salted earth... so I can piss on their graves.Electric Earth wrote: ↑Thu Apr 02, 2020 10:10 pmSeriously. My cruising days are done - the cruise lines have all 'gone to shit' too. The gigantic, mass-market, floating petri dishes hold NO attraction. Flags of convenience, exploitation of labour (one step removed from slavery), draconian cancellation penalties and marketing techniques pushing the edge of 'legality' have left a bad taste in my mouth; and, the ever-repeated mantras: "Your safety is our main concern" & "We care about the environment" are complete and utter bullshit. Profit is their main concern and the only thing they care about. Their raison d'etre is to generate on board revenue from a bunch of captive, morbidly obese, 'sheeples' (the crews call the passengers "cows" - they're large, stupid, and all they do is eat).SternAAlbifrons wrote: ↑Fri Apr 03, 2020 3:05 am Yeah Cruise, i agree

My last cruise was on Silversea; and it WAS good! However, they are an expensive, all-inclusive, 6-star, 'luxury line' I can't afford.
I'm done (ranting and cruising).

Apparently the complications come in 2 waves, first is the immediate respiratory complications from the virus itself. And about day 12-14 comes the massive immune response causing more respiratory complications.Kung-fu Hillbilly wrote:A paper examining the use of melatonin in support of treatment for COVID-19.
