Fines to be imposed on those who do not wear masks

In a message to the people broadcasted live on TV and Facebook on the morning of April 10, Prime Minister HE has sternly announced that in the future, those who do not wear masks will be fined. Wearing of mask is mandatory to prevent the spread of COVID-19.

According to the law, those who do not wear a mask can be fined from 200,000 to 1 million riel ($50 to $250) per person. If you do not wear a mask, you can spread the disease to others and you will be punished with imprisonment or a fine or both.

These 500riel or cloth masks don't prevent viruses.

0.3 - 60 micron Bacteria
0.05 - 0.14 micron Covid

Unless everyone starts wearing N95+ masks the mask mandate doesn't really do anything. Most people wear the same mask multiple times which could result in a bacterial infection. Image

Your immune system is affected by your stress levels so maybe it could help to be less stressful. But with all the fear mongering I doubt that to be the case.

As mentioned in the thread about vitamin D. Take 5000IU of vitamin D + other supplements that assist the vitamin D, eat healthy and make sure to add ingredients with anti-inflammatory properties like garlic, ginger, turmeric (with black pepper) , honey and boost your immune system.

But stop spreading your panic.
Open your eyes and visit the markets- if you live here.
Maybe you think this is also spreading panic

The two weeks before KNY this is always the case (quiet markets).

The two weeks alcohol ban is new, I've only seen the ban being used during election time, usually 48 hours. But those also were the days everyone was drinking like there's no tomorrow. So....

Vitamin D deficiency is not a cause and effect relationship, despite what a random "doctor" on YouTube tells you. The relationship is unproven and I haven't read any peer reviewed research proving otherwise. The fact is that many people (especially in developed countries-this had been known for decades) are already Vit D deficient, so it's perfectly predictable that those who get infected/die would also have a deficiency. It's like if 60% of people wore black every single day, and then 50% of those who died of Covid were wearing black at the time, so you make the conclusion that wearing black makes us for of Covid...

There's nothing wrong for supplementing Vit D (I do, as well as a few other vitamins), but to claim that it'll somehow protect you from Covid is wrong unless strong evidence shows otherwise. I do aagree that regular exercise and leading a generally healthy lifestyle is proven to help boost your immune system though. That's well proven. I spent around $700 recently fitting out a home gym, mostly because I miss the routine of going to a gym, but also obviously because it's really good for me.

#26 in less than 2 months after 1 year of none
A 59-year-old Cambodian man from Kandal succumbed to the deadly virus on 9 April 2021, according to the Ministry of Health’s announcement.

The man was tested positive of COVID-19 on 9 April 2021. He passed away at 10:50 before he could be admitted to the Khmer-Soviet Friendship Hospital.
Doctors concluded that the 59-year-old Cambodian man died before being admitted to hospital due to COVID-19.
Not sure if closing bars, restaurants, cutting out sales of alcohol, will work or not, as many are still going to be with their families ( if they can) this week
BUT something needs to be done. The government needs to show its trying .....

Quote from the article

And regardless of whether it's mandated, people should wear masks in public, del Rio said.

"Everyone should wear a mask," he said. "We have to get it across to people that this is not an option."

Although the expanded guidance is notable, experts maintain that airborne transmission is likely just a small part of how the coronavirus spreads.

The masks will not not stop the single virus particle, but it doesn't have to because the viruses are thought to travel in water droplets which contain thousands or millions of viruses and these droplets are much bigger than a single viral particle.

For me it's a nobrainer, if I cover my mouse and nose with a four layer piece of fine cloth I will excrete less viruses and bacteria in the air surrounding me.

When I had surgery, everyone in the room was wearing a four layer mask, not N95 type. I wonder why that was. And I wonder if you would have protested against them wearing it.

Keep in mind roughly 150 traffic fatalities within that same month... And still under people with face masks AND shield but no lids on... *Facepalm*
