Indian Tourist Has to be carried off Kbal Spean Mountain
Siem Reap: On May 17 at 1:55 pm, a 75 year old Indian woman tourist, Sary Chas, fainted after walking to the top of Kbal Spean mountain. She was unable to walk any more, and it is believed that she collapsed from heat and exhaustion.
Heritage police from Siem Reap police station coordinated with the Apsara authority to help the victim. They wrapped the lady in a hammock to carry her off from the mountain, and then took her to hospital immediately for tests and treatment.

I haven't done it myself, but Trip Advisor commenters say the walk up the Kbal Spean mountain is about 1.5kms on an uneven path, and it's a steep climb.
Not recommended for the elderly or the unfit then.
Coming back down in a hammock must be quite an experience too.

Re: Indian Tourist Has to be carried off Kbal Spean Mountain
It is pretty steep but many times I have seen Indians at airports suddenly developing a disability and being driven to the departure gate by cart. Once there, they miraculously recover. Could this be the same thing?Anchor Moy wrote: ↑Fri May 18, 2018 2:38 pm I haven't done it myself, but Trip Advisor commenters say the walk up the Kbal Spean mountain is about 1.5kms on an uneven path, and it's a steep climb.
