Totally off topic,,, but how long does new paint look new, when someone else pays themselves for doing the job. ?
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

PM HE: Sihanoukville to Become a Smart City Soon
AKP Phnom Penh, June 01, 2020 --
Sihanoukville of Preah Sihanouk coastal province will soon become the first smart city in Cambodia, said Prime Minister Samdech Akka Moha Sena Padei Techo HE during a get-together with the provincial civil servants and road construction technical team this afternoon.
“I can say that Sihanoukville will soon become the first smart city […]. I’ve already asked a special economic zone here to help equip at least five streets in the city with smart lighting. […],” he underlined.
The smart street lighting will be automatically turned on when there are any vehicles or passengers passed by, he explained.
Samdech Techo HE took the opportunity to encourage all local administrations across the country to install smart street lighting in order to save the energy.
The Premier also expressed his appreciation to the road connection between one beach to another in Sihanoukville.

It's a good idea to have a '' Smart '' city,,, now all you need is smart people to occupy it and run it.

Is this for real ?
A bizarre report on social media says that on the night of 26 August 2020, a woman was filmed on CCTV taking her rubbish across the road to dump it in her neighbor's rubbish bin.
Subsequently, on 27 August, she received a visit from Sihanoukville official Mr Lim Phish and an environment officer to educate her not to throw her trash in front of other peoples' houses. This occurred in sangkat 4 behind Sovanna school.
When you see the amount of trash on most of the roadsides in Sihanoukville, you wonder if this is not a gag.

Cambodia News, Sihanoukville: Police in Sihanoukville went to investigate a fire after clouds of smoke were reported by local people in the evening on September 6, 2020. In fact, it turned out to be a pile of trash burning at a Chinese construction site in sangkat number 4.
In this case, local authorities have informed the managers at the site that it is not permitted to burn off construction site debris in the middle of the city like this anymore.
Fires like this are common in Sihanoukville, but the clouds of black smoke are a health hazard for people who are living in the area.

Singapore took all the street sellers and concentrated them into courts and plazas. Maybe that’s next for Sihanoukville?
It would help if the government actually built these places and helped all the street sellers relocate there.
