GREEN ENLIGHTENMENT
The movement is changing, people are becoming more educated about it.

Long-held "Reefer Madness" fears are giving way. Tax and regulate for quality, safety, and purpose. Like alcohol, tobacco, firearms, pharmaceuticals, etc. Avoid extremes and we'll all be fine.

Honestly, the Cambodians should know better that MJ has medicinal benefits for some (not for everyone, like myself), but perhaps were bought off the prevailing thought at the time, that all drugs were evil, and only taxed drugs were allowed (alcohol, tobacco, pharma).

However, I still worry about stupid young foreigner kids on holiday going off the rails and messing things up for everybody. The fear is the occasional accident from freely available and stronger pot, then hash, then heroine, then mainline OD. Doesn't happen to everyone, but it does happen. Shouldn't happen like that. And who can intervene out here?

Then there's the fresh newcomer that scores big then gets too high. Hospital, then deported by urn or plane. Annoying.

I hate it when I see those OD headlines. When that stops, people will have more freedom.

Also, drugs shouldn't generally be shared with local "square normies," much like casinos don't allow normal local people to enter. I think the rule is, only those that can afford to lose it all are allowed to enter a casino. Is that why hipsters are so closed-circle to locals?

Society-wide, Westerners score low on the proper use of stronger substances (yes there are notable exceptions here, of course). But places like India and the Middle East know how, when, and how much to use their traditional cures. Funnily, they always had an experienced hand guide select people through their inner journeys.
