Illegal Lottery and Betting Shop Shut Down, Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh, Cambodia News: A total of 12 suspects were detained in Sangkat Phsar Deumkor, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh. The crackdown took place at 4:10 pm on September 16, 2018, led by Mr. Chan Banda, deputy governor of Khan Toul Kork, and with legal co-ordination by Mr. So Loeng Dy, the deputy prosecutor of the Phnom Penh Municipal Court.
Police detained 12 suspects, including six girls, for running a gambling den featuring baseball bets and scoring of Vietnam lottery numbers at Point 3, Street 231, Group 1, Village 2, Sangkat Phsar Deumkor, Khan Toul Kork, Phnom Penh.
Currently, all suspects are temporarily detained at the Tuol Kork Police Inspectorate for questioning and submitting case files sent to the Court of First Instance according to the procedures.
