Hungarian Man Begged His Phone Snatcher to Return Him His Sim-card with the Award of 20 Bucks
Phnom Penh: According to Koh Santepheap Daily News, A Hungarian man was looking at his phone while he was sitting on the bench in the garden, then someone came closer and snatched his phone and ran away. The incident happened around 1:30 am on 09 June at the garden along Sisowat quay in Kandal Ti Mouy commune, Daun Penh district, Phnom Penh.
He wanted his snatcher to return him his sim-card with the award of 20 dollars and the person can take the phone as well.
The victim named Steven, male, 60 years old, Hungarian. He is staying at Angkor Borey hotel located in Daun Penh district. His phone was made by a Chinese company which has two sim pots.
He said, he has been living in Cambodia just two months and half. Before Cambodia, he had crossed Thailand. He added, he was using and looking at his phone while he was sitting on the bench along the riverside then there were three people walking around him, but he didn’t notice. He was thinking that his phone is a cheap phone and no one would snatch it.
Then two other suspects were waiting on the motorbikes on the side of the road, so he realized that someone might snatch his phone, however he didn’t bother as he thought that it is a cheap phone and they wouldn’t be able to sell it. Then, one of the suspect snatched his phone.
Later he asked people if they know the snatcher. He wanted him to bring back his sim-card to Angkor Borey hotel as he will award the person 20 dollar and he can take the phone. After the incident, the victim didn’t file a complaint and went back to his place.
