‘I crush you, I ruin you. You better come crawling, with a rope around your neck, kiss the slipper

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

French Politician Apologizes for ‘Khmer’ Slight

“Here you go: ‘I crush you, I ruin you. You better come crawling, with a rope around your neck, kiss the slipper and, if at all, maybe then you will get the swearing-in,’”
Beautifully put. I bet it sounds even better in French or Khmer.

It does: 'Je t’écrase, je te bousille, faut que tu viennes en rampant, avec la corde au cou, baiser la babouche et peut-être qu'à ce moment-là, tu auras l’investiture…'

Sounds like a solemn ritual one undergoes to become one of D. Trump's staff members.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

Whilst out duck hunting yesterday, a khmer beater told me that there is a tri - coloured cat in Cambo that kills all it's young, as it wants to be more powerfull than them. I suspect the animal that does that would have been naturally - selected out. Therefore I took it as an interesting analogy.

And coronation ceremonies could not be performed and national prosperity would be compromised :(

..cats – especially females with three-colored fur – have a special significance to the Royal Palace. Such cats are used in the kings’ coronation ceremonies, and are believed to bring prosperity to the entire Cambodian nation.http://www.phnompenhpost.com/7days/hist ... short-tail

I have been told that if a 3 color cat crosses near/over a deceased while awaiting
cremation the body will rise but be like just undead. Not living.

Not zombie> i asked.

Gotta be tough life as a tri-color cat in KoW.
