I think there were something go on between the girl parents and her aunt. It is really normal in Cambodia that siblings and relatives fight each other over on heritages. The aunt must be really upset or hate the girl mother or father. That's why she hurt her.

I only trust my parents and would go to them for help, but not my uncle and aunt.
