Has anyone figured out why the hell there was an ax
at the wedding in the first place??
It was in a village. There are axes around in villages.
If the groom didn't want to marry her, then isn't it pretty simple to inform the bride and each family of his plan not to go through with the wedding dog and pony show, but if they do, in any event, he would not be present?

Why do these dumb fucks feel the need to hack each other to death, over something as silly as not wanting to get married??
Where did it say anything about anyone not wanting to get married? Did you even read the article?
a guest invited by the bride became angry with the bridegroom’s family, leading to a heated argument that briefly ended after other guests intervened.

A short while later, their argument continued and a fight broke out. Putheara said the enraged groom, his father, brother and two other accomplices then hacked the guest, El San, with an axe.
Silence, exile, and cunning.
