Great Duke Hotel Staff in Phnom Penh Protest Over Unpaid Salaries (UPDATE: Hotel Closed)
Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): On September 3, 2019, at 9 am, the staff at the Great Duke Hotel held a protest for their salary in front of the hotel, on Mao Zedong road, BKK, Phnom Penh.
More than 70 people who work at the Great Duke Hotel in Phnom Penh are protesting because they haven't been paid their wages since June. They are protesting in order to draw attention to their plight. They say they need money for their families.
AS a result, the authority and an officer from the Ministry of Labor Vocational Training went to the scene to sort out the problem for the hotel staff, and the hotel owner was ordered to pay their salaries.

Re: Great Duke Hotel Staff in Phnom Penh Protest Over Unpaid Salaries
It seems not all is well with this group, a look at the Mekong Bank figures in the NBC annual report for 2018 is quite bleak, and the same owner for what is now the Great Joke Hotel not paying salaries. What other companies are in next line?

In the time it took them to commiserate, print out a huge banner and sympathy invoking portraits of HE and organize this bit of civil disobedience....
....couldn't they have sent a chosen representative among them, along with thumb printed statements of all affected, and sent him off to the MoL to handle this in person, instead of waiting for a Facebook trigger-wave of pity to incur action?
