Drove past there yesterday in a cramped minivan and Mrs Stroppy pointed out the renovations. We're occasionally involved in a good works thing that's based over the road.

I've noticed the arrival and increased useage of the plural noun "decrepits" with regard to the patrons of this area, and found it offensive. As we were driving past, I thought to myself, "Oh, now I get it."

If you're one of those that were there at the time, I'm sure it wasn't you I saw ... you were, umm... in the bathroom?

My guess is when they start the comstruction work , they find a big package of ice/yaba belonging to the previous ppl, proceed to smoke real hard on it , then they speak about the rent rates !
