Frenchman Medine Emeric Philippe Killed in Kampot

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Jean whoever told you you’re not allowed to post pictures of people without their permission was wrong - it’s simply not true.

If it's the same person complaining on Facebook, they also sent a link to the laws in France which say you need people's permission to publish their pics. It also listed NEWSWORTHY as an exemption clause.

Hahahaha!

TIC.

If there was a prosecution for every unauthorised publication of passport details, half the journos in the country would be sued.

So, now Lao Entheos says he doesn't care about laws and is still demanding we remove the image of him, and also the blurred passport photos:

"Okay.
So : I asked you friendly and calmly several times to delete the pictures of our passports and of my face for the intimity of my dead friend, his family and I.
You refuse and don't seem to give a shit about what i tell you.
Now things and gonna change, I don't give a fucking shit about laws as you seem to do, I am going to resolve that problem myself and by by own ways, time for speaking and being kind with you is over. You played too long with my patience and respect. All this is turning really bad now and it's not my fault, the only ones you will blame after this will be yourselves.

See you soon"

It's not the first time he's had his picture online, looking a bloody mess:
