French Tourist PIERRE BRECKLER Arrested Flying Drone Over Prime Minister's House in Phnom Penh
Phnom Penh, Cambodia: A Frenchman, identified as Pierre Michel Breckler, was arrested for flying his drone over the Prime Minister's mansion in order to get aerial footage of the city.
Pierre Breckler was quickly arrested by Daun Penh police and taken to the police station for his crimes, and will likely be "re-educated" before being released. His fate will ultimately be left for the National Police's Anti-crime department to decide.
Mr. Breckler has been traveling the region and taking aerial photography and videos from his drone, including in Thailand, over the years, but this is likely the first time he's been in legal trouble for the use of drones.
While drones are not banned in Cambodia, you need to get a special permit from the government if you plan to fly one within city limits.

If you would like to see other drone footage from Cambodia and around the world from Pierre Breckler, here is his YouTube account and other social media he set up to display it:

Where to find the list of things allowed in Cambodia ?
It’s hard to win an argument with a smart person, but it’s damn near impossible to win an argument with a stupid person.

Haha, drones aren't banned in Cambodia, but you can't be foolish with them. Flying it over the big man's house is a no-no, and I think most people arrested with drones have no idea the Prime Minister's house is right there.onico wrote:Where to find the list of things allowed in Cambodia ?

How would you know it was the PMs house? You wouldn't expect someone on $50,000 a year to be able to afford something like that.

Overall, it (the prison population) tallied 21,989 prisoners, including 1,781 women, 903 minors and 927 foreigners, with 40 percent of those jailed in 2016 locked up for drug offences, 10 percent for murder and 7.4 percent for aggravated robbery, and one moronic Frog who needed to fly his drone over 'the Man's' house.

The guy looks like a spy to me. I would have charged him with espionage and gathering information to hand on to a foreign government with the purpose of um, arrh, doing something ? ,
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

That's one of the bridges to Koh Pich, it's more than a km to the PM's house from there.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2018 3:19 amHaha, drones aren't banned in Cambodia, but you can't be foolish with them. True but if I remember correctly, it is still a no-fly zone.John Bingham wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2018 7:44 amThat's one of the bridges to Koh Pich, it's more than a km to the PM's house from there.General Mackevili wrote: ↑Thu Feb 22, 2018 3:19 amHaha, drones aren't banned in Cambodia, but you can't be foolish with them.
