Is there some kind of promo by MoT to improve Cambodia's image lately? First the guy who didn't work at CoM, now this.

Can an Okhna status be removed? Surely it's possible for the King to remove the title when they act like thugs. I mean, he should also be sent to jail/pay reparations, but if they started making the title a bit more based on merit than money, it might make them think twice about acting like buffoons (as we all know, face is king, so they'll suddenly all want to get the title as it'll have become even more "rare").

Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

I guess it can but it will never happen, especially not with the current King. Money rules...Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:Can an Okhna status be removed? I disagree, everyone knows who it was and it's even making the TV news, so there will be some type of consequence. It'll probably be a slap on the wrists and he'll never appear in court, but I assume in the coming days they'll have some kind of "settlement".John Bingham wrote:It's a rough video, none too surprising though. A "star" or anyone attractive here generally attracts too much attention, not always from the nicest people. The video is all blurred though so it'll never prove anything.

Poor girl works her way up from dirt poor to some level of success, and expats like hanno think she deserves to be assaulted and beaten up by men for it. That is some disgusting shameful shit. I wonder if he thinks the women who get doused in acid for having the wrong boyfried also deserve it.
And I don't understand the problem with the accident video. Never have really. She has an accident, and unlike almost everybody else, she stops, contacts the police, tries to render assistance. You say you heard her say "I am a star", which she did, but did you bother to listen why she said that, what she was trying to accomplish with that comment, or did you just assume?
And even if it was what you imagine - ie that she was full of herself (which is not what she was saying) - does that, in your mind, justify a man beating her up?
I can't think of anything that justifies a man beating up a woman, anything, except the defence of life and limb.
I am shocked and surprized that some expats here would try to justify this kind of horrific male violence against women, but i guess I shouldn't be. This part of the world attracts a certain sort of violent misogynist and it's little surprize some of them have slithered onto this board. It's not our first. A man that can justify beating up a women for something she said, isn't a man. Gotta wonder what other things a woman might say that people here think justifies a man beating her up. Maybe a case can be made for flying chicken.
I think it might be helpful to go back to the beginning of this thread and read the comments. In my view, there was one inappropriate comment which appears to be in haste as the poster also acknowledged they did not see the whole video.
The other CEO forum members then posted and flagged the inappropriate comment to which the poster then retracted same.
Highlighting self or forum moderation as good forums function and operate.
The board was then subjected to a sanctimonious tirade about expats in Cambodia and apparently 'slithering' to this forum, all the while completely misreading and it appears actually avoiding the previous posts to inflate an issue which did not exist.
I think if one were looking for a Cambodian based forum littered with inappropriate comments, particularly with regard to the host nation and their nationals, I don't think CEO would be the best place to start or finish on that quest.

Re: Former CTN host (Sasa) attacked by Cambodian Tycoon
Here is the interview of Ms Sasa
Interviewer: Can you clarify what lead to this violently attack? It seemed like he also stripped off your clothes.
Sasa: Right. He stripped off my clothes; however i had a short with me. His action was indeed intentional. If it was unintentional, it couldn’t have been this bad. I just filed the complaint and waiting for the authority to take action toward him.
Interviewer: Ok. Can you clarify the motive lead to this attack?
Sasa: the motive led to this attack, I personally don’t know who Okhna Sok Bun was. What i know about him was that he was the one who turned my Japanese friend. On that day, i was sitting with my Japanese friend, because she was really drunk, after she had been forced to drink by the Okhna. As she is the owner of the restaurant, so she had to accept the offer. When He came to drink, my friend told me that he is not a good guy as he hurt her once the last two weeks. She was speaking English to ask me to stay with her. So i stayed and had some foods with her. I stayed there until they finished eating and everyone was drunk. So she wanted to sleep on the sofa and waiting for my car to pick up. So i let her sleep on the sofa and i was just checking my Facebook. At the time everyone already left. Then five minute later they came back with armed bodyguard. He tried to drag my friend. So i said, please don’t do that. My friend is drunk please just let her sleep here. He tried to push her to go with him so many times then finally my friend said, Sasa PLEASE HELP ME. She asked for help from me. Therefore, i stood up and said, please don’t do like this. Then, his bodyguard shouted at me [it is not your business, you motherfucker]. Then i replied, you are just a driver, so how come you dare to tell off my mom and dad. You should not have told off my mom and dad. You should have just scolded me. He then said, who is your mom and dad. Do you want to die? I said, i already told you not to tell off my parents. I was so angry and i threw away my phone. Later on, both of them started to attack me.

No okhna title has ever been revoked that I know of.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:Can an Okhna status be removed? Surely it's possible for the King to remove the title when they act like thugs. It would undermine the system whereby titles are for sale. It's for life, and even a hint that it could later be revoked by 'bad'(read almost normal) behavior would put an end to the money system.
If it could happen, it would then be open to abuse: 'Oh, I heard from one guy that you said that...'similar to the lese majeste laws.

Okhna Sok Bun is on the run to Singapore
Phnom Penh: A reliable resource told Koh Santepeap news that Okhna Sok Bun who had violently attacked a former CTN host and was recorded by the security camera which later on the video leaked and shared on Facebook flew to Singapore yesterday on 8 July 2015, after the victim filed the complaint.
However the resource didn’t clarify if going to Singapore before the prosecutor issued a warrant to call Okhna Sok Bun to present in the court was escaping the legal action or whatever.
