Phnom Penh Municipal Court - A team of police officers escorted business tycoon Sok Bun to Municipal Court Saturday morning, immediately after his arrival by plane from Singapore. He arrived at the court at 9:30 am, where he answered questions regarding his vicious assault on July 2 on the former television star known to fans as Ms. Sasa.
An arrest warrant was issued for Mr. Bun on Thursday and he was placed on Interpol's wanted list, after Prime Minister HE and other high-ranking Cambodian politicians blasted the courts for failing to bring Mr. Bun to justice....

Game over.
https://www.cambodiadaily.com/news/want ... ort-88868/Sok Bun, the real-estate mogul wanted for the brutal assault of a female television personality earlier this month, was arrested at Phnom Penh International Airport on Saturday morning, according to an Interior Ministry official.
Sok Khemarin, director of the ministry’s penal police department, said Mr. Bun was met by police upon arriving on a flight from Singapore, despite reports on Friday that the tycoon had fled to Paris.
“We arrested him at Phnom Penh International Airport this morning when he came back from Singapore,” Major General Khemarin said. “Now we have sent him to the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for questioning.”

Holy fuck, the bodyguard pulled the trigger on Sasa's head? This was new to me.
“He was arrested based on the municipal court’s warrant for his arrest by Ministry of Interior penal police this morning,” Khemarin told reporters. “He was arrested after he returned from traveling abroad.”
Leang Samnath, the investigating judge handling the case, and deputy prosecutor Hing Bunthorn could not be reached for comments. But a court clerk, who spoke on condition of anonymity, told the Post that Bun was still being questioned by Samnath and would be temporarily detained in prison this evening.
“The investigating judge has not finished his questioning yet. He now is still being questioned at court,” he said, without giving further details.

According to court documents, Bun stands charged with “intentional violence with aggravating circumstances” under article 217 of the penal code. If found guilty, he faces a prison term of two to five years.
Bun’s bodyguard, who Socheata claims pulled the trigger of his pistol only for it to fail to discharge, has been charged with attempted murder and remains at large.

Not sure I believe that "he pulled the trigger" story.

Agree, I suspect it is a ploy to deflect responsibility from the main culprit and make the bodyguard the fall guy.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:Not sure I believe that "he pulled the trigger" story.

It's highly likely he had his pistol in the "load" position, ie rounds in the magazine, no round in the chamber, and pulled the trigger to intimidate knowing full well the pistol would not discharge. Well that will be his defense anyway.vladimir wrote:Agree, I suspect it is a ploy to deflect responsibility from the main culprit and make the bodyguard the fall guy.Bitte_Kein_Lexus wrote:Not sure I believe that "he pulled the trigger" story.

Yeah, I just don't see how she'd know/notice that he pulled the trigger. There's absolutely no indication that he ever tried to in the video. Maybe he accidentally did... Just sounds like a bit of horseshit to be honest, and it tarnishes her a bit in my eyes. There's plenty of "evidence" as is, no need for (what appears to be) embellishments.
