Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): Last night, at 11:30 pm on May 18, 2021, the joint police force of the Phnom Penh Municipal Commission raided a condominium location and arrested 63 foreigners, men and women, on Street 288, in Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang II, Khan BKK, Phnom Penh.

In this case, the police detained 63 people, including 29 women, suspected of gathering to use drugs and drink alcohol.

The Phnom Penh Municipal Commission raided the above location because of reports from the local people that the location was being used by Chinese and Vietnamese as a night club, which is currently forbidden in order to prevent the spread of Covid 19 infection. Therefore, on the night of May 18, 2021, joint police forces raided the premises, where they found people drinking alcohol and taking drugs.


After completing the above operation, all suspects, including exhibits, were sent by the police to the specialized section of the Phnom Penh Municipal Commission for questioning and processing.

According to one of the news outlets, 10 of the people arrested we're Cambodians. But then again they could have been staff working for the foreigner.

Locals and foreigners caught partying with alcohol and drugs

Forty-five locals and foreigners were caught red-handed by the police for alcohol consumption and smoking drugs during curfew hours at a condominium in Boeng Keng Kang district’s Boeng Keng Kang 2 commune in Phnom Penh around midnight on Wednesday.

Police arrested them for violating the Phnom Penh City Hall’s temporary ban on all kinds of alcohol sale and gatherings including organising a drinking party until May 22 and the imposition of curfew between 8pm and 3am.

The detainees also committed a drug offence by inhaling drugs via smoking.

Phnom Penh Municipal police spokesman, Colonel San Sokseyha said yesterday those arrested at about 1am were 10 Cambodians and the rest were Chinese and Vietnamese nationals including some women.

Relating the incident, Col Sokseyha said that the district police patrolling team noticed a lot of vehicles parked outside the condominium and suspecting something amiss, alerted the Phnom Penh police headquarters.

He added a police team led by Phnom Penh Municipal Court Deputy Prosecutor raided the condominium which was rented by a group of Chinese nationals and caught the suspects having an alcohol drinking session with many also smoking drugs.

“They violated the Phnom Penh City Hall’s ban on alcohol drinking gatherings, the curfew and also committed a drug abuse offence,” Col. Sokseyha said.

He said they were caught red-handed with enough evidence to prosecute them in court for all the offences committed.

Col Sokseyha added that the police also seized a substantial amount of crystal methamphetamines and other related materials from the premises.

Cambodia News, (Phnom Penh): 45 foreigners and Cambodians who gathered to drink in violation of the rules of the Ministry of Health to prevent Covid-19, were arrested in a condominium in Boeung Keng Kang which was raided and searched by Phnom Penh Joint Police Force.

Police said that the operation was carried out in accordance with the direct order of Lt. Gen. Thet, Deputy Commissioner of the National Police and Phnom Penh Municipal Police Commissioner at 11:10 pm on May 18, 2021, at Monivong Blvd, Sangkat Boeung Keng Kang II, Khan Boeung Keng Kang, who caught the party-goers red-handed while partaking of illegal drugs and drinking alcohol (which is also illegal due to the Phnom Penh Covid restrictions.)


After receiving information about the gathering of foreigners and Cambodians who secretly opened a place to have fun drinking and singing, violating the rules of the Ministry of Health, police said that they visited the above address and arrested 45 suspects: 26 Chinese men and women, 7 Vietnamese women, 1 Korean man, 1 Malaysian man and 10 Cambodian men and women. Police confiscated 6 small bags of white powder, 2 packs of white powder, 4 boxes of black caps, 29 green tablets, 70 gray tablets, 1 white gram powder, as well as some packages and some other materials.

They can't be that dumb ,so they must just think thier above the law.
