Beware the Ides of March....taabarang wrote:I have no problem with them being arrested, but that superfluous charge of "unemployment" does not augur well for those of us who are retired and sweating out the work permit double talk.

Yes, that's the point. Since it was superfluous, why add it to the list of charges. I smell the beginning of a trend.Flynn wrote:Their unemployment had nothing to do with it. The guy who was unemployed didn't have a passport. The other guy was a chef (possibly employed here) whose visa expired more than three years ago.taabarang wrote:I have no problem with them being arrested, but that superfluous charge of "unemployment" does not augur well for those of us who are retired and sweating out the work permit double talk.
As my old Cajun bait seller used to say, "I opes you luck.

I don't think he was being charged with anything related to being unemployed, it was just the media who wrote that. I think it may also have been a weird translation for "homeless" or perhaps a euphamism. In either case, I'm pretty sure it has nothing to do with the actual charges against him.

Rule no 1, don't stay in Sihanoukville, if you are illegal. Naive.

Rule no 2, don't publicly celebrate your 13-year-no-visa-anniversary.

Why not ? Are you coming to the party ? You'll see, I'll be there and nobody is going to touch me.

Couple of real heavy weight Desperados. Its amazing Snookyville's finest could handle them. Must have been their big case for the year.
