Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

Jeez, this is close to home. Actually, it's Khan Daun Penh. I walk down there from time to time.

I wonder what the motive was..

It's even closer to me. Word has it that it was quite late, after 9pm, so well past curfew.

SWMBO was watching the commotion in the aftermath from our balcony. She was thinking it was a mugging.

Think you mentioned in another post , you wouldn't want to wandering around the empty streets after curfew.
I'm standing up, so I must be straight.

Yeah. I'm willing to bet that situation outside ABA the other night wouldn't have happened if there was still normal traffic for the hour going by. That stretch is usually quite populated till shortly before midnight.

Guarantee he got into a dispute with the theives on the riverside. The police need to take their bikes and lock them up. There's about a dozen of them and they all have bikes and weapons and steal for a living. They are even stealing from the venders down there so perhaps someone will have the courage to do something. Doubt it tho
