Foreigner Victim of Stabbing Attack in Phnom Penh

Cambodia news in English! Here you'll find all the breaking news from Cambodia translated into English for our international readership and expat community to read and comment on. The majority of our news stories are gathered from the local Khmer newspapers, but we also bring you newsworthy media from Cambodia before you read them anywhere else. Because of the huge population of the capital city, most articles are from Phnom Penh, but Siem Reap, Sihanoukville, and Kampot often make the headlines as well. We report on all arrests and deaths of foreigners in Cambodia, and the details often come from the Cambodian police or local Khmer journalists. As an ASEAN news outlet, we also publish regional news and events from our neighboring countries. We also share local Khmer news stories that you won't find in English anywhere else. If you're looking for a certain article, you may use our site's search feature to find it quickly.

According to MCPN News social media page, the attack took place at 10:30pm on the night of 7 April.
Well, what's he doing out at that time? He doesn't look like someone with a job he's returning from, on foot.

Anyone flouting the curfew is taking big risks. The police are on major roads but the side streets, where this took place, are deserted.

The street urchins know where the road blocks are by now and a couple of calls to each can keep them updated. They will be able to whizz around the place without police interference. You will be a sitting duck.

I am home by 7.30 at the latest, and always by way of a tuk. If people try to edge closer and closer to 8pm they could find themselves high and dry at 8pm, without transport, and facing a nice walk home in the dark.
That you are home by x time has nothing to do with this fellow being stabbed, and to link it to being on the road after curfew is a bit of a stretch IMO. You give the street "urchins" way too much credit here - most of them are hopeless ruins of people. Whatever shit this guy was in; he was likely going to get bashed curfew or not

Funny no follow up reports on this so far.
Drug debt methinks
You really think people sell drugs on credit here?
I know they do.
