A foreigner had his iphone snatched at st 51
Re: A foreigner had his iphone snatched at st 51
@ little salary, i think we might have to go and say sorry to almost every expats and tourists here. I reckon at 5 among 10 of them once or twice experienced with snatching and garbing, burglary, robbing and pick pocketing. Sad.

You guys can't be responsible for everyone.Samouth wrote:@ little salary, i think we might have to go and say sorry to almost every expats and tourists here. I reckon at 5 among 10 of them once or twice experienced with snatching and garbing, burglary, robbing and pick pocketing. Sad.
People can and should install tracking and security Apps on their phones though.
I don't understand why the manufacturer can't block stolen phones.
Re: A foreigner had his iphone snatched at st 51
Because the block would need to be in whatever the phone connects to. Towers n shit.Milord wrote:I don't understand why the manufacturer can't block stolen phones.

We just want to show our concern for them as they come to visit our country and i am sure they didn't expect such bad things to happen.Milord wrote:You guys can't be responsible for everyone.Samouth wrote:@ little salary, i think we might have to go and say sorry to almost every expats and tourists here. The level of petty crime here seems low in comparison with places in southern Europe e.g. Barcelona. I would be far more wary of getting robbed there than in Cambodia.

Exactly. I don't think it should even be reported as a crime if you get robbed at 4am on a Tuesday, stumbling out of Golden Sorya Mall.CuCullain wrote:The level of petty crime here seems low in comparison with places in southern Europe e.g. Barcelona. Yeah, why is this newsworthy?. The same thing probably happened at the same time at twelve other location in a twelve kilometer radius...Is there a day down by the GSM where this doesn't happen ?
