I didn't see much more helpful info in Joon's post (no offense to her), and I'll say one thing: if the two names have been translated correctly, there are 2 middle eastern men involved, as AHMED is most definitely the name of MEN not women.

I guess it's possible a Cambodian Muslim man has one of these names, as I believe it's common for Muslim men from any background should choose a good Muslim name.

A lot more needs to be made clear before we get anywhere with this story.

Unique story either way.
its 2 a pakistani men and a really old khmer woman who got arrested

Still doesn't make sense to me. Why come all the way to Cambodia to find slaves when there are plenty of poor Pakistanis or Afghan orphans that you can exploit closer to home ?
who says these are poor people? who says they are orphans? who says they are slaves?
all thats been released is that they were being trafficked?
maybe the people (3 women and a male, with one of the women looks married, possibly to the male) being "trafficked" had paid to be smuggled to pakistan
"the Pakistani were in the process of making them passports using their family and residence books. The plan was to take a bus to Thailand and then board a plane to Pakistan."
seems like a lot of effort to go through to just find some random slaves

Pakistanis Nabbed for Alleged Trafficking Attempt

by Aun Pheap | August 23, 2016

Two Pakistani men and a Cambodian woman suspected of attempting to traffic three women to Pakistan for prostitution were arrested in a tuk-tuk and guesthouse in Phnom Penh over the past two days, according to officials.

Phat Phalla, deputy chief of the municipal police’s anti-human trafficking force, said the suspects—Pakistani nationals Niaz Ahmed, 55, and Yazef Ahmed, 24, and the suspected broker, Cambodian Bin Nhor, 72—were put under surveillance earlier this month after police received a complaint that the men were selling shoes and computers on the street.

Mr. Phalla said an ensuing investigation led police officers to Phnom Penh’s Grey Guesthouse on Thursday, where they found three Cambodian women believed to be trafficking victims and a man whose role remained unclear on Monday. They did not make any arrests at the time.

Mr. Phalla said Mr. Niaz, Ms. Nhor and one of the women were arrested while in a tuk-tuk in Daun Penh district on Sunday night, while Mr. Yazef, the other two women and a Cambodian man were arrested in a room at the Capital Guesthouse in Prampi Makara district on Monday morning.

After Arrests, Saudi Arabia Trafficking Route Probed

by Aun Pheap | August 24, 2016 | អានជាភាសាខ្មែរ

Two Pakistani men arrested on suspicion of attempting to traffic three women to Pakistan for prostitution said on Tuesday that they had, in fact, planned to send the women to Saudi Arabia, where they had already sent more than 10 Cambodian women to enter the sex trade, an official said...

“The elderly woman collected the Khmer women from villages in Tbong Khmum province and she provided the women to the Pakistani nationals,” he said. “They would attempt to send the women to Thailand by bus and they make passports and visas to export the women to Saudi Arabia.”

“Through the investigations of our officials, the two Pakistani nationals brought the Khmer women to Saudi Arabia many times,” he added. “But they confessed that they just brought them a few times with more than 10 women who were trafficked into prostitution.”

Has anyone sent these reports about Pakistanis running
Cambodian girls to KSA to be sex slaves to the English-language ARAB NEWS and SAUDI GAZETTE?

Or to DAWN or any other Pakistani English-language papers?

As the General will confirm, Pakistanis contend with Sudanis to have their heads sliced off in Saudi Arabia.

One might say (NOT my own pun) that the Pakistanis and Sudanis are "neck-and-neck" in the decapitation stakes.

More Cambodian Women Trafficked to Saudi, Officials Say

by Aun Pheap | August 25, 2016

The number of Cambodian women now thought to be caught in Saudi Arabia’s sex industry after being trafficked in the past year has risen to more than 20, officials said on Wednesday.

However, the government remained tight-lipped about its efforts to rescue the women, while two Pakistani men and a Cambodian woman were charged by the Phnom Penh Municipal Court for attempting to traffic three women to the Middle Eastern country.

Pakistani nationals Niaz Ahmed, 55, and Yazef Ahmed, 24, and a suspected broker, Cambodian Bin Nhor, 72, were arrested in Phnom Penh on Sunday and Monday on suspicion of attempting to traffic the women out of the country.

Under questioning, the suspects admitted that they had planned to send the women—who had been lured from Tbong Khmum province on promises of well-paid work—to Saudi Arabia, and confessed to previously sending more than 10 women to the repressive country, said Keo Thea, chief of the city’s anti-human trafficking bureau.
