Farmer Killed by Fatal Homemade Electric Irrigation System

Cambodia News, Pursat province: An elderly man was killed by a deadly electric shock when he was pumping water from the river into a watering hole at the back of his home by the river in Chek Chao village, Pursat province.

According to a Krakor district police report, the victim, Ye Soeun, a 66-year-old Cambodian national, borrowed his neighbor's motor to pump his irrigation system while his pump was broken. Unfortunately, while he was pumping the water, he received a fatal shock through his hands from the home-made electric extension.

The victim leaves a wife and five sons and daughters, currently living in the village. RIP.
