Farmer Found Drowned in Battambang Canal

Cambodia News, (Battambang Province): On the afternoon of December 12, 2020, some farmers came across the body of a man floating in a canal in Kandal Tbong village, Kork Khmum commune,Battambang province.
According to a 35-year-old female farmer named Van Srey Mom, she and her husband went to inspect a field near the village at around 2:00 pm and found the body of a man floating in the canal without knowing when the man drowned, and then reported this to the local authorities to come and check the scene.

It was later confirmed that the body has been identified as a man named Hon Samnang, male, 47 years old, who lived in Group 24, Kandal Tbong Village, Kork Khmum Commune, Thmor Koul District.
After the post mortem examination, the police force of the district inspector confirmed that the man died due to drowning in the canal, and they have given the body to his relatives to conduct the necessary funeral preparations.
