Khmer leo beer- putrid, horrid chemical tasting headache beer.
Cambodia beer-cheap watery horrid cat urine that they have to give free speakers and free cans just to sell it at 2000 riel.
anchor- its OK but must be ice cold and consumed in 1 or 2 minutes.
Angkor- another horrid beer tomato, metalic and chemical aftertaste , gives the runs and a horrid hangover.
ganzber- don't go there unless you like pounding headache and being in able to eat for days.
cheer blue- I'm sure this beer is the worst of the lot.
klang- strong beer that gives a chronic headache from 3 or 4 cans .
Never ever mix these beers on a bender or you will be suffering for the next 24-36 hours
ohhh nooo my body cant handle it, i drank beer and it gave me a headache...
why and dont you go drink a bacardi breezer then ya poofter if you cant handle drinking beer
beer is just flavoured water, we call it piss in the UK, because thats what it is
if you was talking about vodka or whisky or rum or gin etc then sure, but beer?

Most people cant tell one beer from another especially after a few. But destroying real Budweiser and Corona sounds like a good idea. German wheat beer is my favourite but right now I am drinking a free carton of Great Northern stubbies 4.2% local FNQ beer and very nice it is too.

"
I like jungle juice 1000riel a bottle."
Well, I'm not a snob and it does do the job, but I can't help but feel that it's more akin to antifreeze than real booze.

i miss high quality alcohol already , these Khmer beers are rotten and i watch all the expats continually suffer from rancid inhumane hangovers just to save a few dollars.
Re: Fake beer destroyed
Worst beer that I have tasted here is " Phnom Penh " beer. Could not finish the can.

Re: Fake beer destroyed
I agree with everything Trapper said about beer on this thread. I stopped drinking the beer and street coffee in Cambodia around 5 years ago due to its revolting chemical taste. I can just about stomach Tiger, but far prefer San Miguel, which is brewed in the Phils, but for some strange reason, isn't imported into Cambodia like Singaporean Tiger is.
I'm often to be found nestling a Saigon Green or Beer Lao though when available, but that's usually in Vietnam or the rare Cambo bar.
