From the article there does not seem to be anything new, or that of any difference or that of evidence bought forward, such has now on his return Mark is claiming that the girl’s parents had signed a statement saying they had not accused him, where is this statement, and his own words saying the judge told him not to pay the fine, did he pay or not. What is the law here on the return of bail monies.
Where too is APLE and that of their evidence. I hope he did not do this crime, but so far its only his words without any evidence to back up those words, and now he also claims its political, unfortunately it is always hard to believe when he had been convicted and sentenced for the crime committed.

But what accounts for his serving virtually no time behind bars?

Off the top of my head, I can't think of a single widely publicized pedo case like this in which the perp received such a light sentence and then didn't end up serving the majority of it.

Therefore, he is assuming Mark is lying.

That's a bit of a logic leap Roz and is putting words in other peoples mouths.
'who knows the truth' to me means that one is unwilling to support either side story. Doesn't suggest either is lying.

I would agree who does know the truth, even Mark doesn't know the whole truth, he speculates why he was charged with no evidence. I am inclined to believe he is innocent of his accused crimes, however, I find it very hard to believe that it was set up by pro HE CPP members before the election to attack of CNRP members who ran the school. Why would they do that? It makes no sense, especially as HE was in the process of crushing the CNRP for good, what would they care about a school enough that the best way they felt to attack the pro CNRP owner was to make up crimes accusing a barang teacher of Golden Bridge? As far as I can see the school is still open and has the same owner. The CNRP was destroyed and CPP won the election anyway. What effect did arresting Mark have on that result? none.

There may be some nefarious reasons behind it, a jealous colleague/parent perhaps but to suggest it was to do with the elections is fanciful at best and doesn't nothing to help at credence to his story.

Hello everyone, I am Mark who used to be the VP at Golden Bridge and just wanted to say a few words really. I did intend to do this a couple of years ago when I first returned to the UK but as my ex and family in Cambodia got threatened I had to bite my tongue.

As you can see I spoken to the EDP and an article has been released to try and put my side across, as you can imagine in a 2 page article you cannot get everything across but the Journo did his best. We did this 2 years ago and the threats started coming because of this from APLE after the journo asked them for a comment and proof of evidence which they could not supply as there was never any in the first place. I did think they would roll out a comment but to my surprise they did not do that but later that day my phone went crazy with calls from family in Cambodia saying they are being threatened if this gets released. The people threatened have now moved away and my ex who was most in danger is now living abroad hence why its now been released.

What happened to me was really horrible and I would not wish on that anyone (apart from Viriya MC). My only mistake was being associated with Rithy Seng who was the owner of Golden Bridge who has since changed political party's from CNRP to CPP. While being held I was told they knew I was innocent and that it was political, they had pictured of Rithy at Kem Leys funeral giving large sums of money and some of his old facebook posts pro CNRP. What has this got to do with me? nothing really, I just got caught up in and used like a pawn in the middle until they milked the school and he changed to CPP.

The British Embassy, my MP and the UK government were really helpful to me and pushed hard to get me home and re-issued my children passports within 24 hours of the conviction. I did get caught up coming home as the law in the UK is that anyone convicted abroad must follow the law at home so I was put on the sex offenders register. I was really upset by this but the UK police were really good and explained unless the law is changed there is nothing they can do so they put me on it but left it clear to live a normal life.

Life is pretty normal for me in England now, taking the kids to school each day and just generally being a single dad. The kids are getting on great despite Viriya who claims she is for woman's rights has left a mum, grandmother and and 2 children not being able to see each other for 2 years. I found out she was paid a few thousand as part of the set up to say what she did and even though she was not behind it what that woman did was evil behind what I though someone could be.

I know a lot of you will read this and won't believe my innocence or have your own opinions which is fine and I understand. I loved living in Cambodia and would not say never go there etc. the only part I would say is do your research who you are working for I guess.
