You posted the day after the press reported his suspended sentence and never claimed that the reports were wrong. It's only know, months later, after Smith is back in England that you are claiming "Oh, he was never even convicted. Nothing to see here."

There is a court order detailing exactly what happened in the verdict. If you think the news we’re fake about it, please post the original in Khmer. I will personally pay for its translation to English and use it as evidence to support his claims.

Producing the Khmer original should be easy. A release and its conditions will be detailed there. Post the verdict and I will tell you the fax.

In the unlikely event that the CPP even cared about some 2-bit school I'm pretty sure there would be numerous ways to close it down without resorting to some Machiavellian plot that traumatised a Khmer child...and one thing that a few people are forgetting...the school is still open.

He was arrested, detained, found guilty and sentenced. To blame APLE for any involvement is a pathetic attempt to whitewash this guy. Guilty is my humble opinion, and no book he writes is going to change that.

Just now he'll be telling us Putin and May were in on it. Delusional.

In an exchange with Gavin Mac Mark claimed that he never made a plea, and indeed didn't even know there was a court case( this despite there being photographic evidence of him leaving court, after being charged on July 28th. 2017). :hattip:

What's your basis for saying that? Mark told you?

Consider the possibility that he pled guilty in exchange for a light sentence, perhaps paying a bribe for that light sentence, and is now claiming "I never molested anyone/I never pled guilty/I was never convicted/I've never even been to Cambodia"
