That’s what I thought. It’s oozing sarcasm which is probably why most don’t get it.

But you’re German so I can only assume you either lived in the UK, married a hunky Brit guy or worked with a load and you were the butt of their jokes?

None of the above but grew up in Kenya, a country where Brit humour is both understood and liked.

I used to write letters to newspapers using silly names. In those days they didn't check writers bonafides. I had several letters published under the name Ashley Roachclip. I think it was inspired by the Fabulous Furry Freak Brothers. Henry Root, wet fish merchant published two hilarious books of correspondence with celebrities and politicians in the UK. He always enclosed one pound as a bribe.
National Lampoon always had the best letters. I have always remembered one from the seventies as a classic, this is for Vlad.
