Two English Men Sent to Court for Dealing and Using Narcotics
Siem Reap Province: Two English men were arrested by the anti-drug trafficking police who worked in collaboration with the police intervention force of the Siem Reap Police Commissariat whilst they were smoking and trading in* illegal drugs at the Night Market.
Both of the foreigners were arrested by the authorities at 10pm on the 10th of February 2015 inside a restaurant with the shop name Angkor Wat Bar, located in Mondul 1 Village, Sangkat Svay Dangkum, Siem Reap town.
Lieutenant Colonel Om Sa-Art, chief of the anti-drug trafficking division for SIem Reap informed that on the 12th February the police took the two suspects to court in order to prepare the criminal charge of drug dealing under the (democratic) rule of law.
The Lieutenant continued; the first suspect is called DANIEL HALLER, male, aged 30 years old, English national, holding passport number C9TNW6 RT2, expiring 13/02/15, staying at Angkor Wonder Guest-house, Vihear Chen Village, Sangkat Svay Dang Kum, Siem Reap (who) entered via PoiPet border crossing and the second suspect is ROBINSON SCOT, male, aged 22 years old, , English national, holding passport number 210 737571, staying at the same place.
The Lieutenant continued; combined property was confiscated from the two suspects: dried marijuana 2 and a half pouches, with a weight equal to 17.4 grams, 1 small packet of white powder, one stone plate, and one camera.
More detailed news will follow in the pages of the Koh Santepheap.

Not clear to me whether they were just buying or whether they were buying and selling. If pushed I'd say the article is suggesting they were buying and selling.

Seems they are just a bunch of drug users (not that there's anything wr...).
I expect drug dealers to have a lot more weight on them. You shouldn't even show up to a friend's house with only 17 grams of shitty weed and a small baggy of coke. It's just bad manners.

" DANIEL HALLER, male, aged 30 years old, English national, holding passport number C9TNW6 RT2, expiring 13/02/15 "
So just to add to his already enormous problems as of today he doesn't even have a valid passport?

Maybe that's the American formatting of the expiration date, and it doesn't expire until later this year, duh. . .obelisks wrote:" DANIEL HALLER, male, aged 30 years old, English national, holding passport number C9TNW6 RT2, expiring 13/02/15 "

Re: 2 English Guys Arrested in Siem Reap on Drug Charges
Well, my guess is that "somebody" has an urgent need for tea money for the upcoming Chinese New Year. Going to cost them around $ 10.000 I'd say. On the other hand......times are changing and I really would like to advice everybody to stay away from illegal substances.

Und die laufen vom Gesicht
Doch der Haifisch lebt im Wasser
So die Tränen sieht man nicht
In der Tiefe ist es einsam
Und so manche Träne fliesst
Und so kommt es dass das Wasser
In den Meeren salzig ist

Normally our passport is invalid if it is less than 6months. Passports are still valid until the actual expiration date, but maybe countries refuse you entry if your passport is valid for less than 6 months.prahkeitouj wrote:Normally our passport is invalid if it is less than 6months. I assume they do this just to avoid any hassles with you if your passport happens to expire while you're there.
