No End in Site for Phnom Penh's Flooding Problems

Breaking news from Cambodia can be found here. CEO often finds Khmer news and translates it into English for our readers if it is interesting to expats, locals, Cambodians living abroad and anyone who wants to stay informed of the latest local and international news stories about Cambodia and our neighbors in South East Asia. There are many sources for Khmer news articles and they can all be found here in one place. Most of the media comes out of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville, but we cover national Cambodian news from all provinces.

I'm still hoping to get some shots of a big car wiping out a whole row of motos with a wave. Probability quite high I would say.

Highest level of flooding on my street last night in the 2+ years we've been here, roughly an inch higher than the previous highs using my concrete measure. That is despite the street being dug up and storm water drains being upgraded. I did post elsewhere that I thought that they'd stuffed up, because the pitch of the pipe was leaving it half full of water.

Had another set of moto dominoes collapse in the wake of a big car being driven way too fast - better than TV.

Last night I walked along the northern side of the Royal Palace, I was on the path as close to the wall as possible (highest point) and it was about 12 inches deep all the way to the corner. This road has also been dug up and had upgraded storm water.
