Post by CEOCambodiaNews »

Cambodia news, Kampong Thom: A 38-year-old man named Ros Kim Srun, living in Kampong Ror village,Kampong Thom province, died from electrocution when he went out fishing.
Before the incident, the victim visited the brother-in-law named Nary Nary in the village on May 7, 2020, when on the morning of 08 May he decided to go fishing . The victim removed the power cord from the electrical outlet from the house to go catch the fish in the backyard of the brother-in-law, but he did not even catch the fish, and killed himself in the pond.
The victim was then taken out and buried in a mound of sand, but he passed away, despite this traditional first aid measure for electrocution.
RIP.

Warning: Spoiler shows the victim buried in sand.

I dont know to much about it but what i know there is two beliefs, i dont know if they are both believed in cambodia.

One is to cool down the person as electricity passing through your body heats it up.

Other one is that the earth would help get rid of the electricity in a sort of healing for those who believe it stay inside you.

Problem is that many dont seek medical Care if they seem to recover, infections and that its hard to peform cpr.

But we all know that cpr in cambodia is puting tigerbalm on the back and hope for the best so that one dosnt matter to much.

I think they used the wrong type of sand. They should have bought back some of the good stuff that they sent to Singapore and used that.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

The only thing burying an electrocuted person in the sand is good for is making sure that any cuts or abrasions the victim might have sustained in the accident are now nice and dirty and infected.
If you enjoy noise pollution and obnoxious driving practices, Phnom Penh is the place for you!

This.

I guess pure silver sand would have done the trick.
