Electrician with Drug Problems Dies of Electric Shock
Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On January 2, 2020, a male drug addict, who was known for disturbing and damaging property when he got drunk and took drugs, died of an electrical shock while he was connecting an electric wire at his home in Sangkat Kok Roka, Khan Prek Phnao, Phnom Penh.
Before the incident, the victim's wife woke up and saw her husband wanted to set up some karaoke singing, so she walked outside behind the house. When she came back, she saw that her husband had died of an electric shock. The victim was identified as Pon Sros, 39 years old, an electrician.
The victim was a known drug addict, and whenever he took too many drugs, he damaged property, and he tried to burn down the family house twice. He was sent to the rehab center many times.
This last time, the victim rolled the electrical wire on his hand, and then, he plugged it in, and he received an electric shock that killed him. RIP.

Re: Electrician with Drug Problems Dies of Electric Shock
RIP young man.
What does this article portray? Is it that the man was a electrician and should have known better. Or in his case the drug rehab center didn't work for him, why not? Is the article addressing that the fact of taking drugs can alter the drug users mind, making one feel nothing can do you harm, a state of wellbeing in one's self, but in reality it is the drug that makes your thoughts and body more valuable.
There will always be tragedy and miss fortune along with the good feeling and highs, ups and downs, misery caused to friends and family members, associated with drugs and that of the user.
What of the support (I see there is rehab) are all users classed has criminals, or victims. Early education, now I would feel being a failure with schools closed.

Re: Electrician with Drug Problems Dies of Electric Shock
Electrocution seems to be a common way of dying in Cambodia.
I know that domestic circuitry does not include an earthing/grounding wire which would trip a decent RCD or other circuit breaker before a lethal shock is administered. Is this the reason why electric shock is so lethal here, because you are the earth and you cop the lot?
