Post had an article that iron man is thinking about cancelling elections for this year. Something about chaos in the country forcing him to act responsibly for the good of the people or something like that. And in other news ... local village and commune chiefs will keep their posts despite poll or election results ... as long as they are CPP, of course.

I'm gonna go out on a limb and pick the winner of Cambodia's PM election now. It's like I can see the future n shit.

Cancellation being considered is not true.newkidontheblock wrote: ↑Sun Jan 21, 2018 5:05 am Post had an article that iron man is thinking about cancelling elections for this year. HE stated that an election would not be held in a chaotic country.
That can mean two things*
a) there will be no election because the country is chaotic, or
b) HE will not allow chaos to disrupt the election.
Now, given the understanding of Cambodian politics I hope you have, which of the two do you think he meant?
(HE also later clarified it for the selective interpreters, but many chose not to mention that).
* Try b)

If governments start murdering peaceful protesters, I think we can all agree that it would be considered to cause chaos. What he really means is he doesn't gaf, there will be an election and he will win and pat himself and get others to pat him on the back verily, and yourself and John Bingham will also do it in a huge arse licking contest. Oh. And that massive Indian statue will be covered in gold. It's the future.
