Elderly man admits offering children 5000r for sex.

Breaking news from Cambodia can be found here. CEO often finds Khmer news and translates it into English for our readers if it is interesting to expats, locals, Cambodians living abroad and anyone who wants to stay informed of the latest local and international news stories about Cambodia and our neighbors in South East Asia. There are many sources for Khmer news articles and they can all be found here in one place. Most of the media comes out of Phnom Penh, Siem Reap or Sihanoukville, but we cover national Cambodian news from all provinces.

Is there an equivalent word to "pedophile" in Khmer ?

After all, in English we are still borrowing from ancient Greek. Just a thought. Maybe it's a linguistic thing.
Etymology
From pedo- +‎ -phile, after Ancient Greek παιδοφῐ́λης ‎(paidophílēs) (from παῖς ‎(paîs, “boy, child”) and φιλέω ‎(philéō, “I love”)).
It should be clearer to those who can read Khmer. Do the Khmer press use a totally different word (for sexual offenses against children), or does it change in translation ?

Google says ជនរំលោភកុមារ, so along the lines of "person that violates children" from my bad Khmer.

Regardless, the absence or existence of words in Khmer shouldn't prevent newspaper editors from using the English word when required.

Cases like this, you really wish a mob had beaten the child molester to death, they deserve nothing more

Hard to believe some people can make jokes on threads like this
