Drunk Royal Gendarme Causes Fatal Accident with Motorbike

Cambodia Breaking News (Sihanoukville): On August 25, 2019, at 9:45 pm, a 28-year-old drunk man, Heng Siengoun, a member of the Royal Gendarmerie, was driving his police vehicle, plate no RCAF2-0185, when he crashed into a motorbike on national road 4, Sangkat 1, Sihanoukville.

There were two people on the motorbike. A 30-year-old man, Kim Soly, died at the scene, and a 36-year-old man, To Seng, was seriously injured. After the incident, the car driver and the car was taken to the police station. When police tested the suspect with a breathalyzer, they found that he had alcohol substance 0.4mg/1. He was in uniform, and apparently, he was on duty at the time of the accident.

The body was sent to Enna Nhean pagoda, and the injured was sent to the hospital.

Obviously the gendarme were not carrying their weapons with them at the time.

Sadly he will probably get away with it and pay the family some small token amount of money. I have seen factories pay $1000 for a worker kilned. How will this persons family pay for their children family over the next 30 years with $1000 . Disgraceful outcome expected/
