Cambodia News (Phnom Penh): On July 19, 2020, Mr. Chem Rethy, the judge of Phnom Penh court, questioned a Chinese man who was drunk and attacked a security man with a cleaver at his hotel on July 16, 2020. The victim, named Chev Sarun, was seriously injured.

Before the incident, the suspect named ZAO LONG WEI, and his wife came back to the hotel with a puppy. The security guard didn't allow them to take the puppy into their hotel room because it was the hotel policy.
The Chinese man was very drunk, and he didn't listen to the security man; he took the puppy and walked upstairs to his room on the 28th-floor. The victim and several other security men tried to stop the suspect, and this made the hotel guest so mad that he used a cleaver to attack the guard, causing him to get seriously injured. The victim was sent to the Calmette hospital.

The suspect was arrested and has been sent to the court following the legal procedure.

Update: The perpetrator of the attack, Chinese national Zhao Long Wei, was taken to the Chamkar Mon District Police Inspectorate for questioning and to build a case to be sent to court.

Question of the day:
Why would a hotel guest have a meat cleaver like this handy in their room ?
(Makes you wonder what he was planning to do with the dog.)

For massage? Taiwan's 2,000-year-old knife massage

Lying face down on the massage table, I waited fearfully for the chopping to start. My knife massage therapist, Elsa, was cheerfully wielding two meat cleavers. That’s because, while chopping motions are expected in lots of body massage, in this one, knives do the chopping. http://www.bbc.com/travel/story/2020060 ... fe-massage

Man charged for stabbing guard over ban on pets
Phnom Penh Municipal Court yesterday charged and detained a Chinese national following a violent attack on a Cambodian hotel security guard who prohibited him from bringing his dog into the premises.

Investigating Judge Chhoeum Rithy identified the accused as Zhao Long Wei, 32, a bank manager. The victim was Chev Saruon, 25, a security guard of the Diamond Twin Tower Diamond Apartment Hotel located in Chamkar Mon district’s Tonle Bassac commune.

Zhao was charged with “intentional acts of violence with aggravating circumstances” under Article 218 of the Criminal Code. If convicted, he faces between two and five years in prison.

According to deputy commune police chief Captain Hak Vuthy, at around 1.30am on July 17, an inebriated Zhao and his wife attempted to enter the hotel, where they had been staying, while carrying a dog which they had bought.

They have quite a few roads and bridges to finish. There must be quite a few Cambodians employed doing that,
And the hydro scheme near Kampot.... seems to be alot of Chinese employees and Money. when I passed through there a few months ago!
Snooky, Koh Kong , Kampots new construction, the Islands etc... They are here for a while I think,
However.
It has to be a huge concern, they are a really high percentage of the crimes being reported. ?
My wife said to get one of those pills that'll give me a huge hard on for hours! I brought her back some diet pills, Now I am hiding out in Cambodia for a few years until she calms down!
