Cambodia News (Kandal): The police arrested a man name Loy Makara, 27 years old, a drug addict who scammed three people, "borrowing" the victims' motorbikes and then taking them to a pawnshop in Takmao city, Kandal.

The first time: On October 2020, at 6:30 m, in Takmao city, Kandal, the suspect borrowed a motorbike from Ash Arimoslim, a 22-year-old man, a factory worker, who lives in Sangkat Prek Pnoa.

The second time: on November 18, 2020, at 08:30 pm, in Sangkat Takmao, Kandal, the suspect borrow a motorbike from Run Chanreth, a 26-year-old driver.

The third time: on November 28, 2020, at 09:30 pm, in Takmao, the suspect borrowed a motorbike from Cheang Chanreth, a 34-year-old seller.

The lost properties: a Honda dream motorbike plate 1CL-9154, a Honda Beat plate no.PP1II-3042, and a BMW motorbike. The police reported that suspects borrowed the motorbike from the victim on the pretext of going to buy something. Then, he took that motorbike to put at the pawnshop for 300 USD and used the money to buy drugs. On January 22, the police arrested the suspect.

The suspect confessed that he had done the same scam three times. After questioning, the suspect was detained at the police station following the legal procedure.
