Drug Addict Disturbs Local people, Gets Carted Away
There is not much help available for drug addicts and their families. Sometimes they just call the police.
Cambodia Breaking News (Phnom Penh): A 23-year-old man, Song Sanmao, is a drug addict who disturbed local people by waving a knife and an axe around until he hurt himself on August 01, 2019, at 06:30 am, in Damnak Thom 3 village, Sangkat Steung Meanchey, Phnom Penh.
The local people said the drug-addicted man used a knife and an ax to disturb and scare people. He damaged some of his neighbor's property and hurt himself. The family called the police who went to the scene to detain the man.
According to the man's father, Chat Phara, a 57-year-old construction worker and his wife, Chek Noun, 60-year-old, said they had six kids and the drug-addicted man was the youngest son. He knew his son been a drug addict for a few months, and he took him to the correction center, but when he came back, he used drugs even more than before.
The father has requested that the police detain his son and send him to the Ministry of Social Affairs to be treated.
