Dramatic Escape From Fire at Big House in Borey San Way, Phnom Penh

Phnom Penh: On April 25 at 00:10 am, there was fire at a big house in Borey San Way, on Street 337, Sangkat Beung kok, Khan Toul Kok, Phnom Penh. Five fire trucks were called to the scene to put out the blaze, but in the end, they only needed three of them.

In the middle of the night, the people who were staying on the second floor of the house thought they could smell smoke. They got up and went to check in the house, but there was so much heat and smoke that they struggled to get to the door.
When the occupants of the house finally reached the front door, they had to break it down to escape from the building. They ran out of the house shouting for help, and then at last the police and fire brigade arrived to put out the fire. The fire started downstairs and the living room and the kitchen were totally destroyed.

I can't imagine someone living in that house can afford a smoke detector or two
