It's out of range for the Mainland Chinese, unless the rumors are true about the Koh Kong Union Development Military Length runway and port.

It IS a military only UAV.

I'm just checking to see if the Thais have bought any, otherwise it's pretty nefarious stuff.

PS, I never said Botum Sakor was NOT going to be used as a secret base - just that no credible evidence exists to date.
I am reviewing that, in light of new evidence just come to hand. ^^^

The range of this device is limited. So you can plot a radius of 250 km on Google Earth.

So you have Cambodia (no), Vietnam (unlikely), Thailand (Possibly although they make their own drones). Sea launch (Possible) or the Nefarious Chinese (highly likely) from their secret bases here.

This is just fascinating. From the title was expecting to see some kinda quad copterish BS that millenial faggots seem to love. But this is some serious military bit of kit.

It's a Chinese Rainbow Series CH-92A drone made by CASC.

Apparently it had an oil failure.

I cant find much info on which militaries posses this particular export model, apart from Serbia.

One of the earlier models in the Chinese arsenal, before they started copying the predator MQ9

It IS a serious violation.

Only my opinion, but the map shows clearly the launch radius.

If it WAS Chinese here this begs the question of why they didn't recover it, before the Khmer got to it.

It could be they didn't have time, or it wasn't them.

We shall see - but one thing is the US is definitely taking notes

Nothing to see here - move along - this is for scaring the pigeons from the runway.

No ballistic missiles here. No SAM batteries. Go to Grand Phnom Penh Optics for your new prescription very dark sunglasses.
