Poor woman. You must be really at the end of your rope to take a stick and beat your husband to death.

Wow. Is it just me, or is there a lot more domestic violence than usual in the news ?

There does seem to be a lot. It's dismaying. Cambodian society has a very macho slant. As someone who grew up as a middle child with four sisters I find some of the attitudes displayed by local and foreign men very backwards. I'm not an ultra feminist but there's no excuse for the kind of abuse many have to put up with. Of course there are violent and abusive women too but it's often men who are to blame.
Medieval attitudes.
Silence, exile, and cunning.

said it before, the financial stress caused by the COVID lockdowns is starting to hit, and it will probably get worse. I do wonder what the numbers are going to be worse, those lost to COVID vs those lost due to the economic issues COVID has created.
