End of the line for him. Would take some courage/determination to stand there until impact.

How long does it take for a train to stop? 500 meters? A kilometer?

I know the answer, but if you are talking about a Cambodian train , there is no right answer.
Cambodia,,,, Don't fall in love with her.
Like the spoilt child she is, she will not be happy till she destroys herself from within and breaks your heart.

Re: Man Stands and Waits for On-Coming Train
Could be a little less than 500m as the train is quite slow in the city. Maybe the traindriver tried to honk him off the rails like the lorries do with the motobikes and didn't suceed.
Suicide in that way is common in the west but this is the first time I hear about that in cambodia.

Maybe he didn't know much about trains. He may have been just a trainee.

Many of the deaths on the railway that appear to be drunken stupidity are actually suicides.

Drunk people "falling asleep" on the tracks. Yep. Very sad.John Bingham wrote: ↑Sun Feb 17, 2019 7:39 pm Many of the deaths on the railway that appear to be drunken stupidity are actually suicides.
